The cover of the Wall Street Journal?
Welcome to a special mid-month newsletter!
Yup, the Wall Street Journal did a story about the Cops and Writers Facebook group that I founded and run for the last six years, that was on the front page of the digital and weekend edition paper.
To be honest, I thought somebody was playing an April fool’s joke on me. But it turned out to be very real. The reporter that interviewed me, Jeffrey Trachtenberg, couldn’t have been a nicer guy and was a pleasure to work with.
When I started the group it was only my editor and a couple of buddies as members. It has since grown to about 8,000 members worldwide. It’s a great combination of writers of all levels of achievement and law enforcement experts from all over the globe. Every day we are answering crime writer’s questions and having a little fun as well.
As you can imagine, my weekend has been going through a tidal wave of member requests, and well wishes from friends and family. I did however manage to get my motorcycle out of the garage and get it to the Harley Davidson dealership for an oil change. Let the riding season begin!!
Jeff also mentioned my Cops and Writers podcast and my newest novel, The Good Collar in the article which I did appreciate.
Here’s the link to the WSJ article – How Long Could You Survive in a Bank Vault? Where Crime Writers Go for Answers.
What’s next? Who knows? I’m having fun, helping out crime writers, and enjoying the ride!
Oh, and speaking of The Good Collar….it’s on sale until Easter Sunday, and still available in Kindle Unlimited!
